Structure born vibration and low frequency acoustic emissions affect equipment performance, facilities, and people. ETS has performed assessments and recommended mitigation in the placement of sensitive coordinate measuring machines, medical devices, silicon foundries, as well as ground vibrations and acoustic emissions emanating from manufacturing plants into a residential area. Highly sensitive measurement equipment is maintained for reporting vibration in acceleration (g’s), velocity (rms and peak particle velocity), as well as integrated displacement (mills) in strip chart form, FFT, or 1/3 octave.
